The Bulrush: Limited Edition Print
From
£80.00
The Bulrush is a graphic print taken from a drawing that came out of a chance encounter with a bulrush (also known as 'cattail' or 'sedge') on a walk through Suffolk - its chaotic, swirling seed head captured mid-unravel.
The original drawing study marked the beginning of a new period of creativity, and this print version has been developed to bring out the expansive aura of the soft seed head as it continued to unfurl and release new potential into the air around it.

Hahnemühle German Etching, giclée
Prints are produced using archival giclée printing on Hahnemühle German Etching, a heavyweight 310gsm fine art paper made from 100% cellulose using traditional mould-made papermaking techniques. It has a natural tone and a distinctive, pronounced surface texture, closer to a hand-pulled etching or watercolour paper than a standard photographic print, giving the piece real tactile depth and a crafted, gallery-quality feel.
The giclée process uses ultra-fine, wide-gamut inkjet technology to build up rich, accurate colour and deep, dense blacks. German Etching's textured surface holds ink particularly well, which is what gives these prints their characteristic depth and contrast. The paper is rated for a print life of 100+ years under proper display and framing conditions, making it built to be lived with, not just looked at once.
When framing, we recommend anti-reflective, UV-protective glass to guard against fading and glare while keeping colour and detail true.
Framing
Fine art prints are manufactured to a high standard and include glazing to protect the print.
If framing yourself, we recommend anti-reflective, UV-protective glass to guard against fading and glare while keeping colour and detail true.
