Hello, I'm Agnes, a writer and painter, fortunate to be selling my art to private collectors internationally. I am driven by a desire for each creation to find and hold its own point of active balance.
The painting process itself is responsive - a deep listening - with multiple ideas appearing like opinions as each mark, colour or texture contributes. I seek to allow complex differences to exist together, and do not shy from that tension.
What remains on the canvas at the final moment is the silence after this conversation. And each painting is, in some ways, reaching for the rich peace we feel at the end of a story.
