Wildflowers find their way is an abstract, near-landscape piece inspired by the wildflowers of the local urban churchyard where I walk my dog almost every day. Soft whites and muted golds meet restless graphite lines attempting the freedom of wild growth as seasons change. Layered textures and fluid brushwork in oil, graphite, oil pastel, pastel and metallic ink on board create a tactile, weathered surface with a calm, contemplative mood.
